To create your Arabian themed décor, choose the Arabian Paradise Kit. Add some palm trees to your Arabian décor! There are many different styles of palm trees available—inflatable palm trees, foil palm trees, lighted palm trees, felt palm trees, or palm tree murals. You can use palm trees and palm tree patterned gossamer to create areas of the prom designated for chatting and taking photos rather than dancing. Light these areas with red or purple paper lanterns for a cool effect.

Tables

Carry the regal look of the Arabian Paradise Kit and the freshness of palm trees over to your table decorations. For starters, cover your tables with red, purple or gold gossamer in deeptones or metallics. You can use the gossamer to decorate the chairs too by making chair bows out of the material. For that purpose, gossamer streamers may be easier to work with. Accent the edge of the table with a palm tree border or festooning in a contrasting color. For table decorations, add tropical ti leaves or coconut votive holders. Top it off with a palm tree centerpiece.

You can also make your own centerpiece to match the peacock standee in the Arabian Paradise Kit. You’ll need Styrofoam balls, purple or red gossamer and peacock feathers from your local craft store or zoo. Stick the feathers, cut to a variety of heights, into a Styrofoam ball cut in half, dome size up. Then, surround the ball in a loose wrap of the gossamer to hide the Styrofoam. It’s simple, easy and gorgeous. Just make sure the feathers are clean first!

Photo Setting

Create a photo setting to match your theme so when students look at their prom photos years from now they’ll remember how spectacular the whole event was! Try setting up a miniature version of the Arabian Paradise Kit for a photo setting. Select certain elements of the kit such as the peacock standee or genie’s bottle standee and set them next to an Arabian Paradise column or two. Add an Arabian metal lantern and an LED tealight and  you have a beautiful photo op!
