Cheap & Easy Ways to Decorate for a Dance

It’ll be here before you know it — a new school year, with another round of potentially awesome school dances such as homecomings, winter formals and, of course, Prom. Sometimes you might be working with a tight budget, while other times you may just be looking for ways to push the pizazz factor in your dance decorating scheme. Here are a few tried and true ideas that belong in every decorator’s bag of tricks for inexpensive ways to add value to the venue!

Don’t Spare the Confetti
We have such a wide selection of party confetti that it’s fun to select one or more designs to carry the theme through from start to end. Scatter confetti in invitations, over tables, in balloons, around the floor, in favor containers and in glassware. Then, at the end of the night, shower the dance floor with a final “dose” of glitter.

Create Thrones for Dance Royalty
Pull out gossamer streamers, curling ribbon, and 5″ balloons in your party colors to decorate the backs of the chairs from whence Queen, King and Court will rule!

Cut Curling Ribbon Streamers for Special Effects
Hang curling ribbon streamers from the ceiling for effects such as green vines for a jungle theme. You can also enhance balloon arrangements, centerpieces and masks with a good supply in ribbon in theme-coordinated colors. Be sure to check out our metallics. They’re awesome!

Add Balustrades to Your Decorating Vocabulary
Balustrades are an inexpensive, yet elegant way to divide party areas. They are also very easy to customize with garland, gossamer streamers, twinkle string lights and more!
